Guangzhou Auto Show: SouEast Xiwang C1

The minivan market in China is dominated by Wuling and Chang’an Automobile. The margins are small but because of the many millions sold it is still very profitable for manufacturers so others want a bigger piece of the pie. This Xiwang C1 is the latest from SouEast, nope I did not forget the ‘th’ in SouEast, they did it themselves.
Size: 4085x1560x1960, wheelbase 2610. Engines: a SouEast 1.3 with 82hp and 102nm or a Mitsubishi-sourced 1.3 with 92hp and 114nm. Both engines mated to a 5-speed manual. Price starts at 36.800 yuan and ends at 46.800 yuan. A minivan, or mianbaoche in Chinese, is one of the cheapest wats of motoring indeed.
