SAIC-Maxus V80 listed & priced in China

The SAIC-Maxus V80 van has been officially listed on the China car market. Price starts at 145.800 yuan and ends at 239.800 yuan. SAIC bought Maxus from bankrupt British LDV and set up production in China. In Chinese the brand is called Da Tong (大通).

Engine is a Eco-D 2.5 liter diesel from VM Motori with 100kw, good for a 160km/h top speed. SAIC has plans to bring the Maxus brand back to Europe but not soon, SAIC wants Maxus to succeed in China first.

  2. Hi i love the MAXUS V80 turbo diesel 16 seater but i have a quuestion for you, how strong is it with there parts and if you want to use it as a texi? Since there is no Diff, how strong is it towards the hills with 16 passegers?
