Freak Accident in China

Published on October 30, 2011 by Tycho de Feijter

A freak accident in rural Zhejiang Province in China. A taxi crashed into the right side of a Volvo S40 sedan pushing it right against the back of a truck loaded with scrap metal, the metal fell down from the truck and straight through the front window of the Volvo.

Amazingly both the driver and passenger survived with minor injuries. Driver told the police he managed to turn the wheel just before the impact with the truck so the metal didn’t go in straight-down but in a corner towards the rear-passenger door. He and his passenger then literally ducked for safety.

Two extremely lucky men indeed…
