Colored Tires from China

What about pink tires under your pink Ferrari California? In China this will be possible soon thanks to Double Star Tires from the great city of Qingdao in Shandong province. Double Star developed a patented process to make tires in any color, fittingly this new product is called ‘Rainbow’, it will hit the market soon and likely with great success.

Colored Tires from China

Colored tires coming down the production line. Double Star sees many possibilities; sure to make a car look cool, but also green tires for the military, black for police, yellow for school buses and so more. It is not yet clear how much a set of pinkies will cost, Double Star only said the colored tires will be ‘slightly more expensive’ than standard black.

Red Rainbow tires fitted under a taxi for a test.

Bright yellow, green and pink at some marketing event.

Well, me think this all a great idea. Next step is to make tires with more than one color, or fluorescent colors, or some truly rainbow-tires, or pink with white dots, that’ll be nice, or tires with cartoons on it. Everything, is possible.

Did you fools consider the safety aspect of making these tires different colors? Is the structural integrity of the tire the same when you dye the rubber?

sorry not for me….il stick to good old black rubber

to Chen, it all depends on the type of dye used and how the dye is integrated into the rubber. Most Tire Companies in the United states and the U.K. the Dye is integrated while the before the rubber is being forged. Mixing the Dye in with the rubber while it is in liquid form. By using this method of dying the structural integrity of the rubber is not weakened.

Now when you have a tired that is already forged, then dip that tire in heated liquid dye, the tires integrity can weaken.

I hate my lap top. Correction *The Dye is integrated while the rubber is being mixed and before the tire is forged*

Type of dye is important as well as the amount of dye used into the tires, not the above tires to me have used a bit too much I think, but safety standards in china and the U.S. are totally different. My personal opinion is Khumo tires has perfected the Dye Rubber ratio and produced the proper dye tires for the necessary function of said tires.

Even black tires are dyed, the real color of a tire is white.

But it will be far more better if you kill your self because these tires will do that being from china.
