Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS5 listed & priced in China

The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS5 has been listed on the Chinese car market. Earlier on we heard some confusing news about the price of the new GS5 SUV in China. Very early it was said the price would start around 150.000 yuan, it then went down to 110.000 yuan and this week down again to less than 100.000 yuan. That indeed, is a car getting cheaper! But it all was not true. These are the official figures: price starts at 123.800 yuan and ends at 229.800 yuan.
Dongfeng Fengshen A60 will be listed in China in late March

The new Dongfeng Fengshen A60 will be listed on the China car market in late March. The Fengshen A60 debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November last year, production started in December. The A60 is based on the Nissan Syplhy from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. Two Nissan-engines: 1.6 and 2.0. Price will range from 100.000 to 150.000 yuan. Via: Autohome.
Farmer from China makes an airplane, at home

Planes are fast and they do have wheels!, here we have a brilliant piece of engineering from 58-year old Li Jingchun, a Chinese farmer from the great city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province. He build a complete airplane from scratch, with a little help from his family. The airplane stands on a specially constructed platform between Li’s house and the farm’s barn.
Ford Fiesta ‘S’ limited edition from China

Ford has listed a limited edition Fiesta on the China car market, called the Ford Fiesta S. It is a sporty one and has special white paint with racing stripes, special alloys and wheels, a rally-style grill, some ‘S’ badges around and a sexed-up interior.
Chang’an E30 electric taxi in Beijing

A new electric taxi demonstration project in Beijing. One hundred Chang’an E30 electric taxi’s will roam the streets of faraway Fangshan District where Chang’an has a new factory. I saw this new Chinese electric car up close last weekend at a ‘Clean Energy Expo’ here in town.
Production Chang’an CD101 starts in September

Production of the new Chang’an CD101 will start in September in Chang’an’s new plant in Beijing. The CD101 will be powered by a 2.0, a 1.8 or a new 1.8 turbo, it will be listed on the Chinese car market in November. The Chang’an CD101 will officially debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April.
