Chang’an CS35 will hit the Chinese car market late this Month

The new Chang’an CS35 debuted in April on the Beijing Auto Show, it will be launched on the China car market later this month, priced between 80.000 and 100.000 yuan. The CS35 might also make it to Europe, but export plans are on hold at the moment due to the financial crisis.
Power comes from a 1.6 with 125hp and 160nm, mated to a 5-speed manual of 4-speed automatic. Chang’an will also offer the new 1.5 turbo in the CS35, the very same engine that powers the much bigger Raeton sedan. With 174hp and 192nm that will be a serious fast small SUV. Size: 4200/1750/1660, wheelbase is 2550mm.
All rather funky inside and out, nice little engines; this might be a seller for Chang’an.

Nice job by Chang’an with this little front drive crossover. Isn’t that 4speed a manumatic by Aisin Seiki?

Very nice job indeed. I reckon Changan will be ready for a big export push within 18 months to two years.
