This is the new SouEast V6 Ling Shi, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show tomorrow and it will be launched on the Chinese auto market early next year. The SouEast V6 Ling Shi debuted as the SouEast V6 concept on the Beijing Auto Show in April. The basic shape of the vehicle is unchanged but the grille, head lights and front-bumper are different, and in this case actually look better than on the concept car.
The SouEast V6 stands on the platform of the Mitsubishi Lancer that is made in China by the SouEast-Mitsubishi joint venture. New news on the engine: earlier on we heard the V6 would only be available with a 144hp 1.8 but Chinese media report today the 120hp 1.5 will also be available, both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT. Price for the 1.5 will start around 80.000 yuan.
