This is the new Landwind X5 SUV, it debuted in orange at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The Landwind X5 will be launched on the Chinese car market in January, price will start around 150.000 yuan. The X5 is powered by a 2.0 turbo with a neat 180hp and 250nm, mated to a first-for-a-Chinese-automaker 8-speed automatic.
Landwind goes high tech! A naturally aspirated 2.0 will come available as well in the future, which will drive the price down to some 130.000 yuan. Drive train: 4×2, optional 4×4. Size: 4568/1855/1680, wheelbase is 2660. Landwind is famous for no-nonsense cheap SUV’s that sell fine in the countryside, the X5 however has to make Landwind cool in da city. Well, it loox good enough, engine is powerful, transmission is geeky, and price seems about right. Now for the marketing!
Dash well put together but the materials seem a bit on the cheap side. No big screen in the center console, Landwind going against the trend here and for this kinda cars that is usually not a good idea.
Two-tone seats are cool, but the driver seat differs from the passenger seat, not sure whether that is cool too…
