Here we have an extremely beautiful late-second generation Chevrolet Camaro, seen by reader & serial spotter Navigator 84 on a second-hand car market in Beijing. The sec-gen Chevrolet Camaro (Wiki) was made from 1970 until 1981 and never exported to China, how this perfectly restored example ended up in Beijing is therefore a mystery. The dark blue paint and light blue racing stripes indicate this is some kinda special edition. If you know more, please let me know in the comments.
Great site, check it every day. This is a Chevrolet Camaro, not a Firebird. This body style was produced near the end of the 2nd gen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_F_platform for a direct comparison. Related but different.
@ Michael.
Check! Thanks a lot.
It’s not a special edition near as I can tell. It was quite common to see those types of accent stripes on Camaro’s of that vintage.
The body style accepts them very well. Even base models could be found with stripes. Also many people in the aftermarket painted them with stripes.
The only real way to know if this is special is to pop the hood and figure out the engine and also the suspension options on it.
