The facelifted Kia K5 sedan has been launched on the China car market. Price starts at 159.800 yuan and ends at 251.800 yuan. Biggest news hides under the bonnet; the facelifted Kia K5 is available with a new and very racy 2.0 turbo. Output is 245hp and 350nm, good for a 235km/h top speed.
The Kia 2.0T comes with an extra sporty interior with a lot of black things, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and a six-speed tiptronic automatic. Other engines available are a 2.0 with 162hp and 194nm and a 2.4 with 179hp and 231nm. The Kia K5 is made in China by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture and competes with cars such as the Toyota Camry, the Peugeot 508, and the Volkswagen Passat. None however has anything close to 245 horses.
