Here we have the new Chang’an Yuexiang V5, based on the standard Chang’an Yuexiang. Chinese media say it loox too much like a Mazda 3, with that gaping hole in the bumper. That might be so but this is still an interesting try to make something exciting out of the rather boring Yuexiang. This can not have been a very easy job, but Chang’an sort of succeeded.

Chang’an CS35 SUV debuts at the Beijing Auto Show

Another fine new car from Chang’an Automotive, this is the new Chang’an CS35 SUV that debuted earlier this week at the Beijing Auto Show. The CS35 will be listed on the Chinese car market before the end of this year, price is expected to start around 80.000 yuan and end around 110.000 yuan.

The Chang’an Raeton debuted earlier this week at the Beijing Auto Show and what a fine car this is, no doubt the best looking Chang’an so far and one of the best looking China-made cars as well. The Raeton will hit the Chinese car market near the end of this year, price is expected to range from 100.000 to 160.000 yuan.

Geely GLEagle McCar concept debuts at the Beijing Auto Show

This is new Geely GLEagle McCar concept car, it debuted earlier this week at the Beijing Auto Show. The McCar, aka Moka, is basically and update of an earlier McCar concept, that however was a much smaller vehicle. The McCar previews a new generation of city-taxi’s and is meant to replace the aging Englon TX4 which doesn’t sell well in China. The McCar’s big-thing is an innovative back door where small scooters, bicycles and wheelchairs can easily move in and out.

FAW at the Beijing Auto Show, the concept cars

First Auto Works, or FAW, impressed at the Beijing Auto Show. There was the new Hongqi H7, the partly-new Hongqi L7 and the new Besturn B90. But that wasn’t all, FAW also brought three concept cars to the show, designed by Tianjin-FAW, a FAW-subsidiary most famous for its Xiali-brand.

The fastest convertible in the world, the mighty Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, landed at the Beijing Auto Show earlier this week, marking the first time the Vitesse was on show in China. Those with the money can order it immediately, Bugatti didn’t say the price but the standard Veyron Grand Sport starts at 24.5 millon yuan, or 3.88 million USD. The Vitesse likely won’t be cheaper than 30 million yuan.

Ford Kuga debuts at the Beijing Auto Show

The Ford Kuga SUV debuted earlier this week at the Beijing Auto Show, it will be listed on the China car market in H2. The Kuga will be made in China by the Chang’an-Ford joint venture and is Ford’s first locally produced SUV, the new Ford Ecosport however will follow soon.

BYD Qin concept debuts at the Beijing Auto Show

This is the new BYD Qing concept, it debuted earlier this week at the Beijing Auto Show. The Qing wasn’t as spectacular as we expected, it was basically no more than a slightly sexed up new BYD F3 with a hybrid drive-train. The Qing previews the replacement for the BYD F3DM, a hybrid based on the old F3 that was sold on the Chinese car market for a few years without much success. The Qing is expected to arrive at dealers near the end of this year.

Production version Ford Ecosport debuts at the Beijing Auto Show

Production version Ford Ecosport

The production version of the Ford Ecosport SUV debuted earlier this week at the Beijing Auto Show. The Ecosport will be made in China by the Chang’an-Ford joint venture. It will also be made in upcoming markets such as Brazil, India and Russia. The Ecosport is expected to hit the Chinese car market in late 2012.
