Ah, the glamor. This is Du Yifei, a very sexy Chinese model working for Landwind on the Guangzhou Auto Show. Today, we take a look in her life. Smiling might look easy, but being a model is hard work, as we will see. Long days too, when the show is on Du Yifei works 17 (seventeen) hours a day.
Hummer might be long dead but the famous American gas guzzlers are still very popular in China. All sorts of Hummer vehicles are imported as ‘new’ via the gray circuit, usually from American dealers on the US West Coast. Here we have just such an example, seen last week on the Guangzhou Auto Show. This Super Stretched Hummer H2 monstercar comes straight from California and costs 2.95 million yuan, or 473.000 USD.
She was not there when we were! Back now very quickly to the Guangzhou Auto Show because we missed something. Actually, we missed two things. Finally, at least some powerrrr at the show, it was all a bit tame until we saw this Citroen-babe, which we actually didn’t see, sadly. Here they are she is in all their her glory (NSFW in some countries):
Hao! We are done with the new cars from the Guangzhou Auto Show in China, a few busy days but we got ‘em all. Now for the girls! Beautiful creatures from all over the country and far beyond. Dress code was rather conservative this time, especially for an event in the south, where things normally tend to get a bit more hot. We think the government might have something to do with all this! First girl worx for Lifan.
An interesting surprise at the Guangzhou Auto Show, two McLaren MP4-12C parked in a kinda faraway booth, marking this the first time the MP4-12C is present at a major auto show in China. But!, it ain’t McLaren selling their ware, it is a local supercar dealer selling ‘em gray.

Back in Holland we say: “Mooi rood is niet lelijk”, best translated as “Pretty red ain’t ugly”, and this Volkswagen Bora loox fantastic in red! Yez, Think Blue and such & such, but red is always best. The facelifted Volkswagen Bora debuted on the Guangzhou Auto Show with an all-new front, giving the Bora a much more expensive look.
The mighty Aston Martin Vanquish was launched on the Chinese auto market during the Guangzhou Auto Show. Price is 5.26 million yuan or 844.000 USD. The Vanquish is powered by the good old 6.0 V12 that has been tuned up to 565hp (that is almost 600!), good for a 295km/h (that is almost 300!) top speed. The old Aston Martin Vanquish was never sold in China, so this new car got to hit it right from nil.
The new Citroen C4L debuted on the Guangzhou Auto Show, it will be launched on the Chinese car market in December. The Citroen C4L will be made in China by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture, it will be positioned between the Citroen c-Triomphe and the Citroen C5.
