For the Beijing Auto Show: Geely GLEagle GP5
Published on April 9, 2010 by Tycho de Feyter

Geely goes very cool with GLEagle GP5 offroader. It loox like Geely wants to take on Suzuki which has some success in China with the so far imported Jimmy. Now that is a louzy car, this is better, it even has some Toyota FJ Cruiser up that front. No more information on this machine available so far, see below for two more pics.
For the Beijing Auto Show: Geely Emgrand GE is Back
Published on April 9, 2010 by Tycho de Feyter

Geely won’t give up it’d much criticized GE, many said it looked too much like a certain Rolls Royce. Geely took notice and changed the from, radically. Now angry British people, what does is look like? It will carry the Emgrand brandmane, Emgrand being Geely’s luxury brand so that makes sense. Even more sense makes the recent take over of Volvo, Geely has the S80 platform now which has a V8… Remember that weird single chair in the back? That changed too, but not completely.
For the Beijing Auto Show: Great Wall CHC011
Published on April 9, 2010 by Tycho de Feyter

Great Wall will bring a many new cars to the Beijing Auto Show but this one seems the most interesting. It is (code?) named CHC011 and is Great Wall’s take on a large sedan. It’ll debut as a prototype with a new 2.5 litre engine with 185hp@4000rpm and 400nm@1800-3000rpm. The picture above comes from a leaked brochure and it’s the only one so far.

Lifan will bring two big sedans to the Beijing Auto Show. The one above will come as a concept and shows Lifan’s idea of a luxury 4-dour coupe.
New Car: Lifan SUV to Debut at Beijing Auto Show
Published on March 16, 2010 by Tycho de Feyter

Lifan is moving up to ‘urban’ city people with this brand new suv. Name loox to be a rather imaginative ‘SUV’. Size is 4550x1705x1495, wheelbase is 2600.

Power comes from Lifan’s trusted 1.6 with 78kw and 137nm which won’t make this a fast one, but who needs speed in town? No 4×4 either, just the front wheels to get all that power down the parking lot. Design is nice and neath, I especially like the roofline and the wheel arches and the fact it doesn’t really look like a copy of another car. Prices will start around 100.000 rmb.
Facelifted Maybach to Debut at Beijing Auto Show in April
Published on March 13, 2010 by Tycho de Feyter

Maybach will reveal its very first facelift on the Beijing Autoshow at the end of April. Updates ain’t many and focussed on the front: a slightly bigger grille, new headlights and a more sporty lower air intake. And!, engines will now be Euro V compliant. Power output will remain as it is. The new design loox clean but I know one policeman won’t be happy with it.
