The new BMW 1-Series sedan has been unveiled on the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show, the single most important debut for the BMW brand in China this year. The 1-Series sedan is a compact premium car, relatively small but luxurious and fitted with loads of goodies.
It is for China only at the moment. There are no plans for export or production elsewhere, but BMW hasn’t ruled out that might change in the future. The 1-Series sedan is made locally at Brilliance-BMW, the long-running joint venture that also makes the 2-Series Active Tourer, the 3-Series and 3-Series L, the 5-Series L, and the X1-Series L.

Big car crash in Beijing! A BMW i8 crashed into a barrier on the Jiuxianqiao exit of the Airport Expressway. It appears that the Bimmer took the corner with too much speed, got into a spin, and banged the barrier with the front.
BMW recently released the first images of the all new 2017 BMW 5-Series. A new Five also means a new long-wheelbase version for the Chinese market, and one example was spied on the road. The BMW 5Li will debut in the first quarter of next year. Wheelbase will be extended by about ten centimeter for more space in the back. The extension can best be seen by following the roof line from the B-pillar to the back. Compare with regular 5:
A beautiful blue BMW 316i Compact, Spotted in China on a parking lot near a former Audi dealer on a car market in Beijing. The good Bimmer was dusty but otherwise in a good shape, and clearly still used as a daily driver. The Compact was a notchback variant of the E36 BMW 3-Series, it was designated E36/5.
The BMW X1 xDrive 25Le has been launched on the Chengdu Auto Show in China. The X1 xDrive 25Le, what a great name that is, sounds nice, is a hybrid variant of the BMW X1 Li, the long-wheelbase X1 for the Chinese market. The X1 xDrive 25Le will hit the market in late Q4. And because the X1 xDrive 25Le is a new-energy vehicle is has blue bars in the grille, and blue iPerformance stickers on the doors.

BMW has released new images of the new Zinoro60H for China. The 60H is the production version of the Zinoro Next concept, it is based on the new long wheelbase BMW X1 Li. Zinoro is a sub brand of the Brilliance-BMW joint venture making new-energy vehicles (NEV’s). Their first car was the lease-only Zinoro 1E, based on the old BMW X1. The 1E will be discontinued.
BMW has leaked one image of the upcoming BMW 1-Series sedan for China, the production version of the Concept Compact Sedan. Debut is expected for the Chengdu Auto Show in September followed by a launch on the Chinese car market in October.
