Ford sales in China up 7% in February

Ford and its joint ventures in China sold 43,642 vehicles in the country in February, up 7% from a year earlier, in spite of the weeklong Lunar New Year holiday during which showroom visits typically drop sharply.
In the first two months of the year, sales of Ford-brand cars surged 46% on year to 105,209 units, thanks to strong demand for the Ford Focus, the U.S. car maker said in a statement Wednesday.

Ford Focus sedan is Green in China

Here we have an extremely green Ford Focus sedan, seen in the good Fangzhuang residential area in Beijing. It was a kinda gray day and this vehicle literally lighted up the whole street! Ford China sales up 98% in January

Ford China had its best-ever January, selling more than double the number of passenger cars it did in January 2012.
Ford China sold 44,439 passenger cars-including imported vehicles-last month, a 135 percent increase year-over-year, and achieved combined passenger car and commercial vehicle sales of 61,475 wholesale vehicles, a 98 percent increase from January 2012.

New spy shots from the China-made Ford Mondeo clearly show it will get an extra shiny grill compared with the European Mondeo and the American Ford Fusion. Chinese car buyers are completely into chrome so Ford added five heavily chromed bars inside the grille and a slightly thinner chrome strip around the grille.

The Ford Kuga SUV has been launched on the Chinese auto market. Price starts at 193.800 yuan and ends at 275.800 yuan. The Ford Kuga is made in China by the Chang’an-Ford joint venture and it is the very first Chinese-made Ford SUV.
Ford Focus is a white & blue lowrider in China

A very sleek low-riding Ford Focus painted in white and wrapped in a bit of blue, seen parked on a street near my home in Beijing. A well done job, be it on the subtle side for China. The bumpers, side skirts, alloys and roof are blue’d, nicely contrasting with the almost-matte white.
Ford Kuga gets a Price in China

The new Ford Kuga SUV will officially be launched on the Chinese car market on January 22. Dealers however have started to take reservations so we know the price, it starts at 199.800 yuan and ends at 284.800 yuan. The Ford Kuga is made in China by the Chang’an-Ford joint venture.
