The Chinese Mazda 2 will get a facelift to bring its design in line with the rest of the world. The facelifted Mazda 2 will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April. The Mazda 2 hatchback and sedan are made in China by the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture.

The Mazda 2 will get a facelift, new car will be listed in the second half of this year, debut is expected at the Beijing Auto Show in April. Changes, mostly up front, have to bring the Chinese Mazda 2 in line with the rest of the world.

Here we have a very nice modified Mazda 3 sedan seen somewhere in cold Hebei Province. The Mazda 3 is made in China by the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture and the standard car is rather boring indeed. This one though, is not. Lotta wings, gold wings!, and a very low F-1 style front spoiler that seems right ‘n ready to cut trough the dirty snow laying around.

The new Mazda CX5 will be made in China, local production at the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture will start in 2013. Until then, for those who really can’t wait, Mazda will offer the CX5 as an import on the Chinese market.

The new Mazda 3 hatchback has been officially listed at the China car market, the new 3 debuted today at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Price starts at 112.800 yuan and ends at 149.800 yuan. The new Mazda 3 sedan debuted at the Chengdu Auto Show in September. The old 3 sedan continues as the Mazda 3 Classic.

The new Mazda 3 was launched at the Chengdu Auto Show back in September. The old Mazda 3 however will continue as Mazda 3 ‘Classic’ for a much lower price, it got a small facelift to celebrate its survival.

Mazda CX-5 to be made in China

The upcoming Mazda CX-5, which will look a lot like the pictured Minagi concept, will be made in China by the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture. Production starts sometime late 2012 and the CX-5 will be listed in early 2013. Chang’an-Mazda aims at a neat 200.000 yuan for the cheapest car in the range. Engines: 2.0 or 2.5, 4×2 or 4×4. Competition comes from cars such as the FAW-Toyota RAV4 and the Dongfeng-Honda CR-V.
