Suzuki Splash listed & priced in China

After being delayed for almost half a year due to the parts-crisis in Japan the new Suzuki Splash has been officially listed on the China car market. Price starts at 54.900 yuan and ends at 61.900 yuan. The Splash is made in China by the Changhe-Suzuki joint venture. Engines: 1.4 with 70kw and 112nm, top speed is 165km/h. Via: Cheshi.com. The good old Suzuki Wagon R, made in China by the Changhe-Suzuki joint venture, gets a big brother. It will be sold alongside the standard Wagon R. This yet nameless variant is stretched by some 15 centimeters behind the behind the C-pillar for more space in the back.

All cars can be stretched in China. Think Audi A4L, Volkswagen Passat, Benz 300L, BMW5, Volvo S80L and others. But it doesn’t happen very often that one automaker stretches a really very small car. Suzuki Splash to be listed in China in September

The delayed Suzuki Splash will be listed on the Chinese market in September. The Splash is made in China by the Changhe-Suzuki joint venture and the first pre-production cars have been spotted near the factory. Engine is a 1.4 with 100hp and 134nm. Earlier we heard there would be a small 1.0 engine as well but that seems out. Price will start around 60.000 yuan. Via: Autohome.

The Suzuki Splash was expected to make its China debut on the Shanghai Auto Show last month but was delayed, likely because of Japans part-crisis. The Splash will now be listed sometime in the second half of the year, Suzuki doesn’t say when exactly. The Splash will be made in China by the Changhe-Suzuki joint venture. Suzuki will bring the Splash to the Chinese market, it will be made in China by the Changhe-Suzuki joint venture. The Splash was expected at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December but didn’t make it there. Instead its debut is now expected at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. Changhe-Suzuki seems to be working on a stretched version of the WagonR. The extra space is added between the rear door and rear window, space would go to passengers in the back. An interesting idea. No word yet on launch date or price.
