Spy Shots: Chery Cowin 5

Chery is working on a new brand, called Cowin. The Cowin 1 is based on the old QQ6, the Cowin 3 is based on the Chery A5. It loox like Cowin is being positioned between the cheap Chery-brand and the more expensive Riich-brand.
The Cowin 5 on these pictures will be the most expensive Cowin. Chery is furthermore planning a Cowin 4 and a Cowin E6. The old ‘Chery Cowin’, based on the Seat Toledo, lives on as the Cowin 2.
Guangzhou Auto Show Preview: Chery-Rely V8 MPV

The Rely V8 MPV will finally make its production-debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The car has been around since 2005 and didn’t change much in those five long years and so loox very outdated now. Chery better get it a facelift soon!
Engine: 2.0 with 125kw and 235nm. Size: 5055×1820×1854, wheelbase is 2998 and curb weight 1860kg. Price will start around 150.000 yuan.
Chery-Rely V8 MPV on Sale Soon

The Rely V8 has been around as a concept since 2008, then called B13. It is finally ready to hit the market and will likely debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show starting late next week. The Rely V8 does not have a V8 but a rather modest 2.0 with 125kw and 235nm. Size: 5055x1820x1854, wheelbase is 2998 and curb weight 1860kg. Price will start around 150.000 yuan. The Rely V8 will get a brother at Riich, called the Riich 5, which will be a little bit cheaper but otherwise exactly the same car.
Chery working on Rely X6 SUV

One rendering from a new suv from Chery under the Rely-brand, called the X6. It will likely slot right above the Rely X5. It will get the same 2.0 4-cilinder as the X5 but Chery is developing a 3.5 V6. It needs, the 2.0 is seriously underpowered with only 125kw.
Spy Shots: Chery-Riich G2

A new medium-sized car for Chery’s Riich brand, on pics the hatch, sedan on its way as well. It is based on the Chery A3 but gets some sharper lines and a more upmarket interior. Name not entirely sure but most think it’ll be G2 and that sounds cool enough. Length likely slightly over 4 meter, engines 1.5 and 1.8, price will start around 75.000 yuan. Debut somewhere in the first half of 2011.

Chery takes all time for launching the new QQ3, the car was expected ages ago. The current QQ3, simply called ‘QQ’ before, is a great succes and is still selling well, that is likely the reason Chery is not in a hurry. The new car gets a new front with gigantic headlights, a new back and some changes in the interior.
New Chery Tiggo Listed and Priced

The new Chery Tiggo has been officially listed on the Chinese car market. China’s most popular SUV got a new front, some changes at the back and a new interior. Engines: 1.6, 1.6 Supercharged, 1.8 and 2.0. The 1.9 diesel is only for export and not on sale in China. Price starts at 86.800 yuan and ends at 115.800 yuan. A bit more expensive than the old car but even so the new Tiggo lookx to be another winner for Chery.

Chery is woring on a new small-sized cross-machine codenamed S19. It is based on the Chery Riich X1 and reportedly disigned bij non other than Giugiaro of Italy. Well, design ain’t bad indeed. The S19 is expected to hit the market by 2012.
Chery-Riich M5 Listed and Priced

It has taken ‘m a while, the Riich M5 debuted back in March but made it only to da market today, I hope it was worth the wait. Riich is Chery’s luxury-brand, at least that is what Chery says, but at the same time they keep pumping cheap cars in Riich. This interesting looking M5 cost between 48.800 and 62.000 yuan, engine is a one for all; a 1.3 with 84hp and 1122nm.
New Chery Tiggo is OUT

The new Chery Tiggo is out, is is the successor of the Chery Tiggo 3 and Tiggo DR, the Tiggo 3 has been China’s best selling suv for many years, it is cheap, not too ugly and offers good quality for the money. Chery so, didn’t take much risk and kept the basic lines intact, the front changed the most and the back a bit. Biggest changes inside, the car got a new interior.
Engines: 1.6, 1.6 supercharged, 1.8, 2.0 and an 1.9 diesel for export. 5-speed manual, 5-speed auto or VVT, 4×4 or 4×2. Price will start around 90.000 yuan and up to 130.000. Size new Tiggo: 4390×1765×1705. Old car: 4285×1765×1705. Wheelbase stayed at 2510. Pics:
