New Nissan Sylphy for China next year

The current Nissan Sylphy has been on the market since 2006. Time so for a new one. Production starts next year. Design will be based on the Nissan Ellure concept car. The Sylphy is made in China by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. The new car will be positioned between the Sunny and the Tiida.
Nissan Murano to be listed in China in September

Nissan showed the locaaly made Murano to the Chinese press, it is made in China by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture and will be listed in early September. The Chinese name is ‘Loulan’. Price will start around 400.000 yuan.
Nissan to expand capacity in China, might produce Infiniti

Nissan Motor Co plans to boost production capacity in China by as much as 600,000 vehicles over the next six years as Japan’s second-largest automaker expands in the world’s biggest auto market.
China and North America are also the “two main contenders” as possible locations for a plant to produce Nissan’s luxury Infiniti brand vehicles, Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn said in an interview in Yokohama yesterday.
Dongfeng-Nissan Venucia to be listed in 2012

Venucia is a sub brand from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. Their yet nameless first car will be listed in the first half of 2012, debut is scheduled for March 2012. The Venucia will be based on the last gen Nissan Tiida. That platform is available because the new Tiida was listed earlier this month. The Chinese name for Venucia is Qichen.

The new Nissan Tiida hatchback debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, the Tiida has now been officially listed on the Chinese auto market. Price starts at 105.300 yuan and ends at 156.800 yuan. Engines: 126hp 1.6 and the 190hp 1.6 DIG turbo from the Juke, mated to a 6-speed manual or CVT.

The new Nissan Tiida will be listed on the Chinese auto market on May 27. The Tiida is made in China by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. The Tiida gets the 1,6 turbo from the Juke with 190hp and 240nm. Other engine is the 1.6 with 117hp. Both are mated to a ‘XTRONIC’ CVT or a 4-speed automatic. Price will start around 100.000 yuan.

Nissan has applied for patent for the Murano Convertible for the Chinese car market. The Murano Convertible will be imported. The Murano SUV will soon be made in China by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture.
Patent Applied: Nissan Serena to be Made in China

Nissan will bring the Serena MPV to China. It will be made by Zhengzhou-Nissan, a subsidiary of the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. Zhengzhou-Nissan makes, among others, the Paladin SUV and the NV200 MPV. Production of the Serena will start in 2012.

The Nissan Murano will be made in China, it will hit the market in October this year. The Murano will be made by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. Engine: 3.5 V6 mated to a CVT. The Murano will do battle in the very competitive high-end SUV market in China and it has an edge; most SUV’s from the competition are yet imported and so much more expensive.

Qichen, Venucia in English, is a new brand from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture, aimed at the cheap end of the market. Qichen was the laugh of the 2010 Guangzhou Auto Show when the brand debuted half a concept car. They only got the front, the back wasn’t finished yet. Well, did they look stupid!
