The very first spy shots of a new large SUV from Foday, designated NHQ6480. The new SUV is Foday’s biggest so far and will be positioned above the Foday Explorer 6. Design seems to be rather sleek with fashionable small headlights and a grille that ain’t too big.
Foday has applied for patent on a new SUV, it will be bigger than Foday’s current top model, the Explorer 6. Huge chrome grill is typical Foday but the rest of the car is quite good, likely because it loox a bit like the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Still, nice work from the small SUV-maker from Guangdong, which was in the news earlier this week when we heard it will sell its platforms to King Long. That will earn Foday money that they can use to develop an even bigger grill.
King Long, aka Jin Long, aka Golden Dragon, is China’s biggest bus-maker, but they want into passenger cars as well, and they want it bad. New spy shots show three new cars, including a slightly strange hatchback that we have seen a couple of times before.
The other vehicles are two SUV’s that will be made by the Xiamen King Long Bus Corporation, a subsidiary of King Long. The SUV’s will be based on existing cars from auto maker Foday, which has been in the cheap-countryside-SUV business for many years. The new King Long-branded cars however will go up-market and to the cities.
Foday is a small maker of suv’s and pick up trucks from the soutjern province of Guangding. On October 27th they listed their newest car; the Explorer 6. A huge step for Foday, the previous Explorer was named ‘Explorer 3′. It is basically the same car but with a huge new front in line with the latest trend in suv-front design in China. Job well done!
Foday Automobile, Fudi in Chinese, from Guangdong is a small and not too known maker of honest suv’s and pick up trucks. One of their children is called ‘Little Superman’. But for a small company, things are relative of course in China, their English website is perfectly in order. That is sadly, to put it mildly, not always the case in this country. Website is fine, now Foday wants some fame and to do that they will facelift their biggest machine, the Explorer III, quit a bit.
