Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi hybrid to be listed in China in May

The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi HEV (hybrid-electric vehicle) debuted as a concept at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December last year. The Trumpchi HEV will be listed on the China car market in May. Power comes from the standard 1.8 and a new electric motor that sends power to all four wheels. Via: Sohu.com.

The great city of Guangzhou in Guangdong province has ordered over a 100 brand-new Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi police cars. The Trumpchi debuted on the Guangzhou Auto Show in December 2010 and is based on the platform of the Alfa Romeo 166.

The new Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS5 SUV debuted today at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Production will start in March nexy year, it will then hit the market in April. A very fine looking car this GS5 is, I especially like the fact that Guangzhou auto had the balls to go for this bright orange color instead for typical Chinese brown.

The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi (Chichuan in Chinese) GS5 will debut tomorrow at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Well.., at CarNewsChina.com it debuts today. The Trumpchi GS5 is formerly known as the X-Power and more recently as the X20.

Gonow is a brand under the Guangzhou Auto umbrella. It makes cheap SUV’s and soon it will be in the van-business as well. They are working on a new ‘CDV’, or Car Derived Van. For design the took a good look at the Nissan NV200 just as BYD did with their CDV.

The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi sedan has been listed on the China car market. The Trumpchi was until now only available with a 2.0. The cheaper 1.8 has to get more folk to the showroom.

We already know, sort of, how the upcoming Guangzhou Auto X20 SUV will look like. What we didn’t know about however was the interior. Until now; the very first pics of the production version’s dashboard and front seats. The center console is redesigned when compared to earlier spy shots of test vehicles.

Delayed again. The production version of the Guangzhou Auto X-Power SUV was expected at the Shanghai Auto Show in April but was not there. Then we heard the X-Power would be listed in September. Won’t happen. Now we hear it will be listed in November. We will see…
