Fiat Viaggio will hit the Chinese car market in September

The new Fiat Viaggio sedan debuted last month at the Beijing Auto Show, it will be launched at the Chinese car market in September, price is expected to start around 120.000 yuan. The Viaggio will be made in China by the Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, it is based on the Dodge Dart that is based on Fiat’s C-EVO platform that also underpins the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

The new Fiat Viaggio debuted today at the Beijing Auto Show, it will be listed on the Chinese car market in the second half of this year and that is a bit later than expected. The Viaggio is based on the Dodge Dart that is based on Fiat’s C-EVO platform that also underpins the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Its looks however are much more stylish than the Dart, much more Italian if you like, and definitely more than just a simple rebadge.

Two new pictures have appeared on the interwebs from the upcoming Fiat Viaggio sedan. The Viaggio will debut on Monday at the Beijing Auto Show and it will be listed on the China car market in June, it is basically a rebadged Dodge Dart based on Fiat’s C-EVO platform that also underpins the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

Fiat to make 170,000 cars a year in China

Fiat and Guangzhou Automobile will begin selling the first car made under their joint venture in China in the second half of 2012 at a plant with a capacity to make up to 170,000 units a year, the head of the Italian automaker said Wednesday.
“That will be the first phase,” Fiat Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said at the automaker’s annual shareholders assembly in its hometown in northwestern Italy, referring to the number of vehicles to be produced.
