Spy Shots: automatic gearbox for the Huanghai Landscape V3 in China

The first spy shots of the Huanghai Landscape V3 with an automatic gearbox, the current V3 is only available with a 5-speed manual. The automatic is expected to hit the Chinese car market before the end of this year, priced from around 100.000 yuan and prettied up by an all-chromed grille.

Huanghai Automobile has launched a new pickup truck. This is the Dachai Shenzhizun Extreme Edition, based on the standard Dachai Shenzhizun. The Extreme Edition brings more luxury and sportiness, Huanghai hopes to sell some to the young ‘n cool interested in outdoor-sports and other cool activities that require some extra open space.
Another activity that comes to mind is… farming, which is becoming increasingly popular among wealthy youths here in Beijing. They rent a plot of land in the countryside and drive out there in the weekends to do some farm work in a recreational way. For the rest of the week they rent a real farmer to keep the land in shape. Now back to the Dachai Shenzhizun Extreme Edition.

This is the new the Landscape V3 SUV from small automaker Huanghai, translated as ‘Yellow Sea’. The Landscape V3 debuted at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show as a concept and is now, almost one year later, finally listed. Price starts at 105.800 yuan and ends at 119.800 yuan.

Spotted in China: a Mercedes-Benz ML But it is Not

Parked near my house in Beijing. One would think a boring Benz ML but it is much better; it is a fake boring Benz ML, there is a Huanghai Qisheng SUV underneath. Conversion well done, but actually it wasn’t so much work as might appear.

Huanghai Auto is a maker of big trucks, pick ups and simple suv’s for the countryside. Now they want to move into the more sophisticated pessenger-car market to make more money. And there is no better way to do that than copying a Lexus. This is the new Landscape V3.
