The Hawtai Baolige SUV has been officially listed on the China car market today, the final-final-final production version of the Baolige debuted today at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Price starts at 123.700 yuan and ends at 229.700 yuan.

Hawtai released the first pictures of the final production version of the Baolige SUV, it will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show next week. The Baolige debuted as B35 SUV concept at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show and came back as Baolige semi-concept to the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show.

The Hawtai (aka Huatai) B35 SUV debuted as a concept at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show. It came back as an almost-production car to the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show with a new nose and a new name: Baolige. The final production car will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November, the Baolige will then be listed in December.

Spy Shots: Hawtai C25 SUV from China

Another new SUV from Chinese automaker Hawtai. This is likely the C25 that will be positioned above the new B35/Baolige. Engines: 2.0 and 2.4 petrol, mated to a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. Some diesels will be available too for export. Length will be over 5 meters, wheelbase over 2.8 meters. Not date set yet but expect a concept at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show.

Hawtai Baolige gets an English name

The Hawtai (aka Huatai) B35 SUV debuted as a concept at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show. It came back as a production car to the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show with a new nose and a new name: Baolige. Hawtai did some thinking and came up with a nice English name: Boliger. The Baolige/Boliger will be listed in China in June. No plans for export yet.

Saab, Hawtai deal terminated, talks continue ‎

Via Reuters. Swedish carmaker Saab faced further uncertainty when a deal with China’s Hawtai Motor Group collapsed, leaving owner Spyker chasing alternatives.

Spyker said it was continuing talks with Hawtai and others, while a spokesman for Vladimir Antonov, a Russian businessman and former Spyker shareholder, said he was still interested in investing in the troubled Swedish marquee.

Hawtai and Dutch-listed Spyker agreed a deal last week to pump 150 million euros ($216 million) into the loss-making marquee and produce a new model in China. But this was spoiled by a failure to get necessary approvals. Read more »
