This is the new JAC Heyue A30, it debuted today at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The Heyue A30, formerly known as the JAC BII, is a mid-size sedan that will be launched on the Chinese car market in the first half of 2013, price will range from 50.000 yuan to 70.000 yuan.

Power will come from a 1.5 mated to a five-speed manual or a CVT. The vehicle has very sharp lines for a JAC, so sharp indeed that Chinese media is saying the BII loox too much like the Hyundai Sonata. We think that’s a bit unfair, a bit, that is.
Navistar forms joint venture in China

Navistar has formed an engine joint venture with Jianghuai Automobile Co in Anhui province and is again clocking up miles on a road trip in China that began more than 60 years ago.
Navistar, with roots that go back to Chicago in 1902, is headquartered in Lisle, Illinois, and had revenue of $14 billion last year. JAC is a commercial vehicle manufacturer whose products include buses, heavy-duty trucks and light trucks. Its turnover was 30.47 billion yuan ($4.87 billion) last year.

Chinese automakers Chery and JAC to open factories in Brazil

Chinese carmakers JAC and Chery will open factories in Brazil, Brazilian Industry Minister Fernando Pimentel said Thursday. JAC’s plant will be in Camacari in the northeastern state of Bahia and construction will start on Nov 28. The plant is expected to be operational by late 2014.
