This is the new Jonway Falcon SUV, based in body and platform on the 5-door variant of the Jonway A380. The Falcon however is slightly more hip and thus more expensive than the boorish A380. Jonway calls the Falcon an “urban SUV”, and such a nice name costs money.

It never ends… Jonway has applied in for patent for a new Jonway A280, which loox very very much like Suzuki Jimny. Well, we are glad to see that Jonway is diversifying, their A380 is a copy of the old Toyota RAV4. Jonway however didn’t do a 100% copy-paste, they thought the Jimny a bit too small and therefore stretched it up around the B-pillar.
Patent has been applied for a facelift for the Jonway A380, the updated car is expected to hit the China auto market before the end of this year. The facelift includes a new grille, new headlights, new led-lights in the bumper and a new bumper. The back and interior won’t change. The A380 debuted in 2010 and was last updated in March.
A new minivan has been launched on the Chinese car market. This is the Jonway Wuxing, its main competitor is Wuling, the famous minivan joint venture between SAIC, GM and Wuling Automotive. The Wuxing minivan is made by Jonway Auto, known for cheap ‘n crappy pickup trucks and for the nicely named Jonway A380.
Name again, is special here. Sure Jonway choose Wuxing on purpose, it almost sounds the same in Chinese as Wuling and it almost means the same. Wuxing (五星) means ‘Five Stars’, Wuling (五菱) means ‘Five (sharp) Squares’. Competition in the minivan segment is sure heating up!
What a day! Today indeed, marks the first time I write about Jonway Automobile on this website. Therefore I say: “Welcome Jonway”, and good news it is; the new Jonway A380 has been officially listed on the Chinese car market, price starts 80.800 yuan and ends at 99.700 yuan.
