The new Lifan 520 debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The 520 was kinda tucked away in a small corner of the stand, like Lifan was trying to hide it, which they should, because this 520 is a shameless copy of the Toyota Vios. This ain’t no good development for Lifan! And it will get even worse…
Lifan 320 Champion debuts at the Guangzhou Auto Show

The new Lifan 320 Champion has been officially listed on the China car market, the Champion debuted today at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The 320 Champion is a crossover-edition of the standard 320. The whole 320-range got a small facelift at the same time. The Champion can be specced in almost any way the buyer wants, from very sporty (pic above) to very girly (see below).

These are the very first live-pictures of the new Lifan 520 that will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show later this month. The Chinese press ain’t sweet on the 520, they say it is a Toyota Vios-clone, check out this comparison. The final result however doesn’t look that bad. Lifan actually bothered to make a different front and back on the 520 and that at least is a kinda good thing. Lifan however won’t stop here, their new 620 is a clone from the Toyota Corolla and there can me no mistakes about that one…
Chinese automaker Lifan to enter United Arab Emirates

Lifan, one of China’s fastest growing privately-owned auto manufacturers, is looking to enter the UAE market. According to Mark Timber, vice-president of Lifan, the company is currently in talks for dealerships.
“The UAE is a very big place to start with. We are not only talking about distributors. We are thinking of making the UAE a central warehouse for our cars in the future,” said Timber.
New Lifan 620 = a Toyota Corolla (really)

We already knew that Lifan was cloning the Toyota Vios for its new 520. Now they take on the Toyota Corolla for the new 620. What we didn’t yet know was how they did it. We now know a little bit more. These pics prove that Lifan was using a Toyota Corolla for testing. Not just a Corolla, but extended by Lifan by some 10 centimeter on the B-pillar. Pics are taken at a Lifan junkyard, car was used for developing the new 620.

The production car will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. Price will start around 70.000 yuan and end around 100.000 yuan.

Lifan is a small Chinese car company that makes no-nonsense and affordable vehicles. Their design was never really pretty but at least original, with one notable exception, that is. The first renderings of the new 520 however show that Lifan is now really in the cloning game, target is the Toyota Vios, made in China by the FAW-Toyota joint venture.
