These are the very first spy shots of the production version of the China-made Cadillac XTS. The big Caddy will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will be listed on the Chinese auto market just before the end of this year. Note characters on the right, meaning ‘Shanghai-GM‘, the joint venture that makes the Cadillac XTS in China.

The best spy shots so far of the facelifted Buick Excelle which will be launched on the Chinese auto market late this year, debut is expected for the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. New spy shots give a good view of the rear with a rather funky boot lit.

A very flashy Buick Excelle XT, seen parked on a bicycle lane (bad car!) in Beijing. The Excelle XT is made more pretty with a matte orange wrap, matte black alloys, a matte-blacked Buick logo on the grille and matte black mirrors. Me think it is a fine combination of colors.

New spy shots from the upcoming electric Chevrolet Sail, that will likely not be called ‘Chevrolet’ at all. The ‘Sail EV’ concept debuted on the 2010 Guangzhou Auto Show with a new S-shaped logo, the production car still got it, leading to a frenzy of speculation in the Chinese press whether this means a new brand has been born. GM doesn’t say anything but earlier on we heard GM and its joint venture partner SAIC were considering a separate brand for electric cars, this might be it.

Here we have a very good car. This is a Chevrolet Cruze with a super fat body kit! Wadda plastic, so much that the Chevrolet logo is half dead. Dark head lights a fine touch. This fantastic automachine lives somewhere in the outskirts of Shanghai and we heard the owner threw some 10.000 yuan at his creation, money well spend indeed!

The new Cadillac ATS will be made in China from late 2013 by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. In the meantime the ATS will be imported into China, its debut will be at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. The imported ATS however will be expensive compared to locally made competition such as the Audi A4L, the BMW 3Li and the Mercedes-Benz C-class. The real battle then, will only begin in early 2014.
