Dongfeng to buy 45% of Fujian Motor

In the biggest consolidation in the nation’s fragmented auto industry since 2009, China’s second-largest automaker Dongfeng Motor Corp agreed last week to become a shareholder in Fujian Motor Industry Group Co. Ltd.
Dongfeng signed a framework agreement with the Fujian provincial government to acquire shares in the local automaker from its owner, the Fujian State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

New spy shots of the upcoming SouEast V5 Ling Zhi Turbo, which will hit the Chinese auto market in the second half of this year. The SouEast V5 Ling Zhi sedan was launched in September 2012, the only available engines are a 120hp 1.5 and a 144hp 1.8.
SouEast to launch sporty SUV in China in 2015

SouEast Automotive has announced it will launch a sporty SUV on the Chinese car market in 2015, priced between 100.000 and 150.000 yuan and powered by 1.5 turbo and 1.8 turbo engines. The SUV will be based on the same platform as the SouEast V5 and SouEast V6. The platform comes from the Mitsubishi Lancer which is made in China by the SouEast-Mitsubishi joint venture. The market segment for 100-150.000 yuan SUV’s is getting more crowded by the day; competition is fierce, margins are low, but numbers can be very high.

The sleek SouEast V6 Ling Shi hatchback has been launched on the Shanghai Auto Show and at the same time on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 74.800 yuan and ends at 95.800 yuan. Only engine available is a 1.5 with 120hp and 143nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT.

The new SouEast V7 concept has been launched on the Shanghai Auto Show. The SouEast V7 concept previews an upcoming SouEast mid-size sedan that will be launched on the Chinese car market in 2015. Design is impressive with a large grille full of chrome and small angry head lights.

The very first live shots of the brand new SouEast V7 concept, it will debut tomorrow on the Shanghai Auto Show. The beautiful blue car was spotted all-naked at the Haima booth after a rehearsal for tomorrow’s launch ceremony. SouEast didn’t bother to put the V7 back under wraps and allowed everybody to check the vehicle from all sides.

The new SouEast V6 Ling Shi will be launched on the Chinese auto market in April. Price will range from 70.000 to 90.000 yuan. The SouEast V6 Ling Shi debuted as the SouEast V6 concept on the Beijing Auto Show in April and the production version debuted on the Guangzhou Auto Show last month (pictures).

This is the new SouEast V6 Ling Shi, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show tomorrow and it will be launched on the Chinese auto market early next year. The SouEast V6 Ling Shi debuted as the SouEast V6 concept on the Beijing Auto Show in April. The basic shape of the vehicle is unchanged but the grille, head lights and front-bumper are different, and in this case actually look better than on the concept car.
