SouEast V5 to be listed early next year in China

The SouEast V5 concept has been around for many years. Production will finally start near near the end of this year, the V5 will be listed in early 2012. SouEast makes various Mitsubishi’s for the Chinese market, including the last-gen Galant. The V5 is based on that car’s platform. Although already kind of old still a very fine looking car.

The facelifted SouEast V3 sedan has been listed on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 59.800 yuan and ends at 86.900 yuan. Shanghai Auto Show Preview: SouEast V3 EV Concept

SouEast makes various Mitsubishi’s for the Chinese market and also makes vehicles under the SouEast-name, all based on Mitsubishi platforms. The V3 is a compact sedan based on the old Lancer and comes normally with a 1.5 petrol. The EV concept gets a 68hp electric motor with a 120km/h top speed and a range of 160km.

Production-ready SouEast V4 for the Shanghai Auto Show

The SouEast V4 fastback debuted as a concept on the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show. It comes back to Shanghai next month for the 2011 show as a production-ready car, to be listed later this year. The V4 is based on the platform of the last-gen Mitsubishi Lancer. SouEast and Mitsubishi have a joint venture that makes several Mitsubishi’s for the Chinese market. Engine for the V4: 1.5 with 85kw. Price will start around 65.000 yuan.

SouEast makes various Mitsubishi’s for the Chinese market and also makes vehicles under the SouEast-name, all based on Mitsubishi platforms. One of those is the V3 based on the old Lancer. Next up is a bigger car called the V5, pic above is the V5 concept from the 2008 Beijing Auto Show. The V5 will debut next year, likely at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. Engines: 1.5 and 1.8.

The minivan market in China is dominated by Wuling and Chang’an Automobile. The margins are small but because of the many millions sold it is still very profitable for manufacturers so others want a bigger piece of the pie. This Xiwang C1 is the latest from SouEast, nope I did not forget the ‘th’ in SouEast, they did it themselves.

SouEast V3 is OUT and ready to Eat ya’

SouEast makes various Mitsubishi’s for the Chinese market and also makes vehicles under the SouEast-name, all based on Mitsubishi platforms.

The V3 is a compact sedan based on the old Lancer. It costs between 64.800 and 87.900 yuan and is meant as a sporty machine for the young and cool in the not so developed areas of China.

SouEast doesn’t sell very well in da cities ’cause the cool there consider SouEast old. Weird name doesn’t help either. The V3 comes with a not too cool 1.5 with 120hp and 143nm. However, a faster-looking and maybe faster-going V3 seems to be on its way.
