<p>The new BYD F3 will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April, it will be called &#8216;F3 Su Rui&#8217;, best translated as &#8216;quick (and) sharp. This might mean the current BYD F3 will continue as a buget-alternative.</p>
<p><span id="more-18606"></span></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-18608" title="byd-f3-new-china-2" src="http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/byd-f3-new-china-2-458x345.jpg" alt="New BYD F3 China" width="458" height="345" /></p>
<p>The F3 Su Rui seems to be a much better, and more expensive, car than the old one. It stands on a brand-new platform and comes with a new 1.5 turbo &#8216;TID&#8217; engine mated to a 6-speed DCT.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-18609" title="byd-f3-new-china-3" src="http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/byd-f3-new-china-3-458x343.jpg" alt="New BYD F3 China" width="458" height="343" /></p>
<p>The F3 Su Rui loox like a very fine car, and, as a first for BYD, its design ain&#8217;t copied from someone else.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-18610" title="byd-f3-china-3" src="http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/byd-f3-china-3-458x288.jpg" alt="BYD F3 China" width="458" height="288" /></p>
<p>The entirely forgettable current F3. Price starts at 66.900 yuan. Price of the new car will likely start around 90.000 yuan. I am afraid the F3 will stay on for a while until BYD comes up with a real successor (F2?).</p>

<p><a href="../category/brands/jianghuai-auto/" target="_blank">Jianghuai Auto Corporation</a>, JAC, became <a href="http://www.carnewschina.com/2012/01/31/spy-shots-jac-4r3-pickup-truck-from-china-is-gunning-for-the-ford-f150/" target="_blank">famous overnight</a> with their interpretation of the Ford F150 pickup truck. That one however is not yet on the Chinese car market. This JAC Rein (aka JAC Eagle) has been on the market for a few years and to push sales up a bit JAC now comes with a cheapie-cheap base model.</p>

<p>Its price is only 79.800 yuan, about the same as a Suzuki Swift, and for that money you get a very basic 4&#215;2 with an old 2.0 engine mated to a cranky five-speed manual, and that impressive grille for sure. The JAC Rein is based on the last-last-gen Hyundai Santa Fe and made under license by JAC under their own name.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The new Chang’an Eado sedan <a href="../2011/09/14/changan-invades-the-frankfurt-auto-show/" target="_blank">debuted</a> at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September last year and <a href="../2011/11/23/changan-eado-debuts-at-the-guangzhou-auto-show/" target="_blank">debuted</a> in China at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December. The Eado will be listed on the Chinese car market on March 18, price will range from 80.000 yuan to 100.000 yuan.</p>
<p><span id="more-18097"></span></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-18099" title="changan-eado-china--ma-2" src="http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/changan-eado-china-ma-2-458x329.jpg" alt="Chang'an Eado" width="458" height="329" /></p>
<p>The Eado loox at good as it does because it was designed by Italians from Chang’an’s Italian design center. Job well done indeed. The Eado and will kick-start Chang’an’s invasion of the European market, when export starts is yet unsure. When exported to Europe it will cost at least 15.000 euro&#8217;s. Worth it? Well yez, if you want a new Chinese car from a brand that nobody knows about. Chang&#8217;an indeed, got some marketing to do.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-18100" title="changan-eado-china--ma-3" src="http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/changan-eado-china-ma-3-458x254.jpg" alt="Chang'an Eado" width="458" height="254" /></p>
<p>Dash very sporty, ready for the Nürburgring.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-18101" title="changan-eado-china--ma-4" src="http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/changan-eado-china-ma-4-458x343.jpg" alt="Chang'an Eado" width="458" height="343" /></p>
<p>The Eado comes with two engines: 1.5 turbo and 1.6. Chang’an found new little clean words: ‘Blue core’, it means the Eado is kinda clean, CO2 of the 1.5 turbo is lower than 120g/km and that is just fine in old Europe but extremely clean for China.</p>

<p>The massive Carlsson CGL 45 has landed in China. The German tuner <a href="http://www.carnewschina.com/2011/11/23/carlsson-comes-to-china-at-the-guangzhou-auto-show/" target="_blank">debuted</a> on the Chinese market at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December (<a href="http://www.carnewschina.com/2011/12/23/pretty-chinese-girl-with-the-mighty-carlsson-c25/" target="_blank">hello sexy girl</a>) and has now opened two dealers in China, one in Beijing and one in Guangzhou.</p>

<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-17689" title="carlsson-cgl45-china-2" src="http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/carlsson-cgl45-china-2-458x298.jpg" alt="Carlsson CGL45" width="458" height="298" /></p>
<p>Carlsson seems to know the market so the first car of offer is an SUV. The CGL 45 is based on the Mercedes-Benz GL-class but loox a whole lot better. The V8 is popped up slightly and delivers a neat 430hp and 600nm. Price in China: 1.6 million yuan or 251.000 US dollar.</p>
