This is the new Jonway Falcon SUV, based in body and platform on the 5-door variant of the Jonway A380. The Falcon however is slightly more hip and thus more expensive than the boorish A380.  Jonway calls the Falcon an “urban SUV”, and such a nice name costs money.

The facelifted Jonway A380 SUV has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 79.800 yuan and ends at 98.800 yuan. The facelift includes an all-new front with a giant grille, new head lights and a new bumper. The huge 10 inch wheels are standard.

Golden Dragon Righto V3 SUV debuts in China

This is the new Golden Dragon Righto V3 SUV, it debuted today on a bus show in the great city of Fuzhou in Fujian Province. The Chinese name of the vehicle is Jinlong Ruidu V3. It is made by a company called Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus (web) from the great city of Xiamen in Fujian Province.

Xiamen Golden Dragon is a subsidiary of King Long United Automotive Industry Corporation (web), from Xiamen as well, which is one of the biggest busmakers in China. King Long wants to go into passenger cars too, they have been working on a small hatchback for awhile but it hasn’t been launched on the Chinese car market yet.

FAW-Besturn X80 SUV hits the Chinese car market

The rather good looking FAW-Besturn X80 SUV has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 119.800 yuan and ends at 181.800 yuan. The final production version of the Besturn X80 debuted last month on the Shanghai Auto Show. The X80 is the first SUV under the Besturn brand.

Beijing Auto Shenbao D-Series hits the Chinese car market

The Beijing Auto Shenbao D-Series was finally launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 139.800 yuan and ends at 215.800 yuan. On pics an early bird I met last week in a street not far from my home in Beijing. Biggest surprise: the Beijing Auto-developed 1.8 turbo is immediately available, earlier on we heard it would become available only late this year.

The Shenbao D-Series is based on the first-generation Saab 9-5, Beijing Auto bought the rights to the first generation Saab 9-3 and 9-5 in 2009 from General Motors, by then the owner of Saab. The deal included the Saab-developed 2.0 turbo and 2.3 turbo engines. Buyers can choose between a traditional grille with four bars or the slightly more sporty 2-bar combination.

New Bentley Continental Flying Spur hits the Chinese car market

The new Bentley Continental Flying Spur has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 4.05 million and ends at 4.35 million yuan. The pictures of this particular Flying Spur were shot at the Shanghai Auto Show where the new Bentley had its China-debut. Interestingly, Bentley is using the rather childish hashtags (#NewFlying Spur) in China too. The hashtags however are not very useful in China because Twitter and Google+ are inaccessible.

Zoye Z300 AT launched on the Chinese car market

The Zoye Z300 AT has been launched on the Chinese car market, priced from 76.999 yuan to 86.999 yuan. The Z300 AT comes with a 4-speed ‘tiptronic’ automatic transmission. The Zotye Z300 was launched in May 2012 and so far only available with a 5-speed manual.
