The new Chang’an Eado sedan debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September and debuted in China at the Guangzhou Auto Show last month. The Eado will be listed on the Chinese car market in March next year, price is expected to range from 70.000 to 110.000 yuan.

The new Dongfeng-Nissan Venucia D50 debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show last month and here we have it all out in the open at some dealer-event. Venucia is a sub-brand from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. The D50 is based on the old Nissan Tiida.

BMW is working on two ‘green-energy’ vehicles for the Chinese market. Both will be made by the Brilliance-BMW joint venture and both will be based on the 5-series.
Luxgen 5 sedan launched in Taiwan

The Luxgen 5 sedan was officially launched at the Tapei Auto Show in Taiwan. Luxgen is a brand-name from the Taiwanese Yulong-group. Luxgen already makes the Luxgen 7 MPV and the Luxgen 7 SUV.
Yulong has a joint venture with Dongfeng on the Chinese mainland, Dongfeng-Yulong, they make the Luxgen 7 SUV and soon the Luxgen 7 MPV for the Chinese market. The Luxgen 5 sedan will be made there as well. Production of the Luxgen 5 in Taiwan has started already. Read more »

The new Toyota Camry has been listed on the China car market. Price starts at 179.800 yuan and ends at 274.800 yuan. The Camry comes in two flavors: the standard ‘Camry’ and a more sporty ‘Camry SE’.

Chery is brand-mad and sedan-brand. 2012 will see the launch of two similar sedans; similar looks, similar sized, similar priced and based on exactly the same platform with the same engines. Both cars will debut at the April 2012 Beijing Auto Show. It makes sense for Chery… First up is the new Chery Eastar, aka Oriental Sun.
