Spy Shots: Chery-Quantum Qoros gets Ready in China

The best spy shots so far of the upcoming Chery-Quantum Qoros GQ3 sedan (formerly known by its code name C11). Design seems finalized, Q-logo on the grille. The Qoros GQ3 is expected to debut at the April 2013 Shanghai Auto Show and it will be launched on the China auto market in October 2013. Power will come from a Chery 1.6 turbo. The Qoros GQ3 will compete with fine cars such as the Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Focus.
Spy Shots: JAC BII sedan testing in China

New spy shots from the upcoming JAC BII sedan. The BII (code name) will be launched on the Chinese car market in the first half of next year, priced between 50.000 and 70.000 yuan. Power will come from a 1.5 mated to a five-speed manual or a CVT.

Spy shots from the Volkswagen Sagitar GLI, the most sporty version of the Volkswagen Sagitar sedan. It will get the same 200hp 2.0 TSI under the bonnet as the Chinese-made Volkswagen Golf GTI, mated to a six-speed DSG. Serious power for a serious sedan!

The first spy shots from the facelifted Mitsubishi Lancer EX, it will likely be launched on the Chinese auto market early next year, debut is expected at the April 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The 8th generation Lancer is called ‘Lancer EX’ in China because the 7th generation is still in production. Both Lancers are made in China by the SouEast-Mitsubishi joint venture.

The first spy shot of the facelifted Toyota Corolla without camouflage. The front is completely new with a mess of lines that in the end somehow make up the grille, bumper and lights. Rest of the vehicle seems incredible clean by comparison.
Ford Focus Classic to get a DSG in China

The last-gen Ford Focus is still in production in China, called ‘Focus Classic‘. It is currently only available with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. But that is about to change, Ford is working to get the new and very modern six-speed ‘Powershift’ DSG in the old Focus.

New spy shots from the facelifted Buick Lacrosse, seen by reader ‘Chiprdan’ near Shanghai, thank you very much for the pics! The facelifted Buick Lacrosse will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will hit the China auto market in early 2013. The facelift includes new head lights with LED daytime running lights, a new grille, a new bumpers, LED-lights at the back and a new center console inside.

New spy shots from the Skoda Yeti testing in on Chinese roads. Production in China will start in the second half of next year by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture. The China-made Skoda Yeti is stretched by 60mm compared to the European version Yeti for more space in the back.
Dongfeng working on new upmarket pickup truck in China

Dongfeng is working on a new upmarket pickup truck, price will start around 160.000 yuan which is some 30.000 more than the most expensive Dongfeng-branded pickup truck on the market today. The new yet nameless vehicle will be made by Zhengzhou Auto, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Automotive and home of the Zhengzhou-Nissan joint venture that makes various Nissan commercial vehicles for the Chinese market. Many of those vehicles are also sold under the Dongfeng-brand for less money so this new car will likely have a lot of Nissan DNA as well. Via: iFeng.

The best spy shots so far of the upcoming new Volkswagen Santana. The new Santana will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show and it will be launched on the Chinese auto market in early 2013. It is basically the same car as the new Volkswagen Jetta which debuted on the Chengdu Auto Show in late August and will be launched in January.
