This is the Chrysler 300C Ruyi concept, a China-special 300C that will debut at the Beijing Auto Show. It won’t stay a concept, Chrysler will sell it on the Chinese car market as a special edition.

This is the Chery @Ant concept, it will debut at the Beijing Auto Show next week. An ant is a hard-working animal, it can’t do much alone but a zillion ants can move mountains. That is basically the idea behind this Chery @Ant. It can drive around all by itself but also with other @Ants:

The brilliant engineers from Geely are bringing an updated version of the Geely GLEagle McCar concept to the Beijing Auto Show. Best thing: it has a built-in motorbike. The McCar, aka ‘Moca’, debuted at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show to great acclaim. That McCar however was a much smaller vehicle, this 2012 edition has grown up.

We haven’t seen a decent supercar crash in China for a little while. The waiting ends today with this fine Ferrari 612 that hit a JMC pickup truck full in the flank, the JMC flew 20 meters away from the POI (place of impact). It happened this morning in the great city of Xiaoshan in Zhejiang Province.

Chang’an Automotive has released the first picture of the Chang’an CS35 SUV, formerly known as the Chang’an S101 SUV. The CS35 will debut at the Beijing Auto Show next week and it will be listed on the China car market later this year.
Holden signs deal to develop cars for China

Local car maker Holden has signed a deal to develop at least two new vehicles for China. The company has signed an agreement with Shanghai General Motors (SGM) and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) to develop new vehicles for SGM.
Chang’an Raeton ready for the Beijing Auto Show

Chang’an Automotive has released the first pic of the Chang’an Raeton, formerly known as Chang’an CD101. The Reaton is Chang’an biggest car so far, it will debut next week at the Beijing Auto Show and it will be listed on the China car market near the end of this year.
Geely Emgrand EC8 to be powered by GeTec engines

When the Geely Emgrand EC8 gets a facelift later this year it will also get two new engines. Both are Geely-developed ‘Getec’ powerplants: a 2.0 with 140hp and a 2.4 with 161hp. The current EC8 is powered by two Mitsubishi-sourced engines: 2.0 with 136hp and a 2.4 with 156hp. Power is up only a bit but Geely also claims better fuel economy. The Getec-line will eventually spawn ten engines, the smallest a 1.0, the biggest a 3.5. Via: Autohome.

Here we have a very fine Maserati Quattroporte in matte-black, seen on the streets of the great city of Jilin, Jilin Province. The Maser got a very cool license plate as well, with a lotta nines, nine is a lucky number in China. But there is something else funny with this plate proving wealth doesn’t buy brains:

CarNewsChina.com will be on German TV tonight in a program about, you guessed it, Chinese cars. On pic from left to right: host & TV-journalist Juergen Seitz, me, and radio-journalist Astrid Freyeisen. The show will air tonight at 21:45 on Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR). Then it will show on the Phoenix channel on April 18, 21:45 and again on April 24, 18:00. It will also go international on Deutche Welle on April 23, 08:45. All times are German times. From tomorrow on the show will be on the web as well, I will add the link as soon as I get it.
