After the earlier spy shots today finally the first pics of the facelifted Tianjin Xiali N3. The N3 is one of the oldest car on the Chinese market, going back all the way to 1995 when production of the Xiali-branded Daihatsu Charade started in Tianjin. By the time it was simply called ‘Xiali’ but there are more Xiali’s now, the original has been renamed Xiali N3 and this is the newest version.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 crashes in China

Nasty crash in China involving a brand-new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. It happened on a B-road not far from the Golden Port circuit in Beijing. The GT500 took a corner too fast and banged into a factory wall, narrowly missing the gate.
Jaguar Land Rover and Chery agree on new joint venture in China

British off-road icon Land Rover plans to join the ranks of global automakers making vehicles in China by partnering with Chery Automobile Co Ltd in a joint venture. Local media reports said the partnership will be based in the Changshu Economic and Technological Development Area in Jiangsu province.
Both sides have reached agreement on the new venture and are now awaiting approval from the National Development and Reform Commission, China’s top economic planner, sources familiar with the issue told reporters.

Another new sedan from Chang’an Automotive. This is the C401, based on the old Mazda 3 that was made by the Chang’an-Mazda joint venture. Cars indeed, do never die in China. Chang’an didn’t bother to change much, gluing a new logo on the nose was all they did.

General Motors to recall 18.204 cars in China

General Motors will recall 18.204 imported vehicles in China because of problems with the cars’ anti-lock braking systems, China’s quality control agency said in a statement dated Wednesday.
The immediate recall applies to 16.618 Chevrolet Captiva sport utility vehicles and 1586 Opel Antara sport utility vehicles built between April 11, 2006 and Nov. 9, 2009, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said on its website.
