A huge blast in the port area of the great city of Tianjin in China has killed at least
17 44 people, injured hundreds, and leveled several buildings. The initial explosion happened at 05:00 on early Thursday morning in the warehouse of a ‘logistics company’. This explosion triggered several other explosions along the port area.
Tianjin is one of China’s biggest ports. It also handles pretty much all the car imports for the entire northern China area. Sadly, the explosions didn’t miss out on that, ripping through an enormous parking lot filled with thousands of brand new cars, and among those were a few dozen Volkswagen Beetles.

New Spy Shots again of the upcoming Citroen C4 sedan for China, showing sleek headlights and an impressive grille. The C4 will debut on the Chengdu Auto Show in September and launch on the Chinese car market in November. The Citroen C4 is the successor of the Citroen c-Quatre, it will be positioned between the Citroen c-Elysee and the Citroen C4L.

Production of the brand new Weichai Auto Yingzhi 737 mini MPV has started in China, it will be launched on the Chinese car market in September, priced from 50.000 to some 70.000 yuan. Design is on the hip side for the segment, with a heavily chromed grille, huge headlights, huge mirrors, and a daring knack in the window line on the passenger doors.

The all-new JAC Refine S2 compact SUV will be launched on the Chinese car market on August 31. Price will range from around 60.000 to around 80.000 yuan, and that is about 10.000 yuan more expensive than we heard earlier on. The best part of the Refine S2 is the interior, which is funky to the super max, and one of the best we have seen on a locally made Chinese car so far. Main color matching the body, two-tone seats, red stitching, and matte chrome door handles!

The Ford Edge SUV has been launched on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 249.800 yuan and ends at 429.800 yuan. The Edge comes in three variants; a sporty ‘Edge S’ (pictured), a luxurious ‘Edge Titanium’, and a cheapo base model. The S is fitted with a black grille, black alloys, a black skid pad, and extra black windows.

Landwind Motors has finally launched the supremely controversial Landwind X7 SUV on the Chinese car market. Price starts at 129.800 yuan and ends at 147.800 yuan ($21.000 – 23.801). The X7 is an almost perfect 1:1 clone of the Range Rover Evoque, but sells for three times less.

The Landwind X7 SUV is a Chinese clone of the Range Rover Evoque. Buyers who think their X7 doesn’t look enough like the Evoque yet can buy a special kit that includes a Evoque grille and Land Rover badges. The kit can be bought right at the Landwind dealer, just like Toyota kits can be bought at BYD.
