A beastly Volvo C202 utility vehicle, Spotted in China on a classic car festival in Taoranting Park. The Volvo C202 was manufactured in Hungary from 1977 until 1985. It was primarily designed a a military vehicle but it was also sold to civilian customers.

A massive Hongqi CA770 state limousine, Spotted in China on a classic car festival in Taoranting Park. This is the very rare ‘CA770JH’ variant, which is an ambulance. The stretcher goes trough the trunk and the patient lies in the rear comportment. This great example is black and has a flagpole, indicating it served as a motorcade car.

Spy Shots showing a new Beiqi Yinxiang mini MPV for the Chinese car market. ‘Beiqi Yinxiang‘ is a joint venture between Beijing Auto (Beiqi) and the Yinxiang Motorcycle Group from Chongqing, making small MPV’s and SUV’s. Beijing Auto sells the vehicles under the Weiwang brand, and the joint venture will also sell vehicles under its own name. This white mini MPV has the joint venture logo on the grille.

Haima S5 goes Turbo in China

The Haima S5 SUV will get a turbocharged 1.5 liter petrol engine under the bonnet. The Haima S5 1.5T will be launched on the China car market later this month. The new engine has an output of 163hp and 223nm and will be mated to a CVT. The 1.5 turbo won’t be available with a manual or an automatic.

The Haima S5 was launched in April. Only engine so far is a naturally aspirated 1.6 petrol with 120hp and 160nm, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Price starts at 89.800 yuan and ends at 113.800 yuan. The new 1.5 turbo is significantly more powerful and will be priced in the 110.000-130.000 range.

Time for some fatass American metal. Here we have a red C4 Chevrolet Corvette and a tenth generation Cadillac Eldorado, Spotted in China side by side on a tuning show in Beijing. The vehicles belong to members of a rather feisty local tuning club, heavily involved in illegal street racing and night-drifting competitions.

A very pretty Volkswagen Beetle, Spotted in China in the great city of Fuzhou in Fujian Province. The Beetle is covered with over 10.000 five-mao coins. Five mao, or half a yuan, equals 0.08 USD, making for a total of $800. The five mao coin is gold colored, shining nicely in the autumn sun.
