Spotted in China: the Tianma Fengchi KZ6490E SUV

A badass Tianma Fengchi KZ6490E SUV, Spotted in China in the great city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province. The Fengchi KZ6490E is a typical old-school Chinese SUV; simple and cheap, slow and barely reliable, but somehow kinda cool. This particular example was in a presentable shape, it had some bruises and dents but the body was otherwise all right. Everything is period-original bar for the extra rear-view mirror on the right-front fender.

Eye to Eye with the Haval H9 SUV in China

The Haval H9 SUV was launched on the Chinese car market in late November last year, time thus to check one out at a Haval dealer in the great city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province. The dealer also sells cars that marketed under the Great Wall and Great Wall-Voleex names, making for the typical confusing mix of brands and sub-brands. No matter that, the Haval H9 stood proudly in the center of the shop, and the first thing that strikes is how huge a machine it actually is, almost five meters long and two meters high.

Spotted in China: a dusty Kia Pride sedan

A very dusty Kia Pride sedan, Spotted in China in the Dongba area in the far east of Beijing. The little sedan was in a reasonable shape for its age, the body was all right, no rust in sight, and all seemed period-original and complete. The grille however was slightly damaged and there was a crack in the left-side indicator. First I thought the Pride was abandoned, but when I passed by the same place a week later the car was gone.
