These are the very first pictures of the final Brilliance V5 SUV. The V5 will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November, it will be listed before the end of the year. The V5 (fka A3 SUV) is based on the same platform as the Brilliance H530 sedan that was listed earlier.

Latest spy shots showed the new Brilliance SUV ready for release. It was code named ‘A3’ and has a real name now: Brilliance V5. It is based on the same platform as the Brilliance H530 sedan that was listed last week.

Work continues on the Brilliance A3 (codename) SUV. It was supposed to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. It didn’t, rumors said because joint venture partner BMW thought the A3 looked too much line the BMW X1. The A3 seen on recent spy shots however loox almost exactly like the SUV on Brilliance’s first press pics that made BMW so angry.

New spy shots from the Brilliance A3 SUV show an almost ready car. Brilliance planned to show a concept at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. Joint venture partner BMW however got very angry because they thought the A3 looked far too much like the X1. Brilliance pulled the car from the show at the very last minute but it didn’t die. Brilliance A3 SUV seen testing Again

The Brilliance A3 SUV was scheduled to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in May but did not appear, reportedly because of pressure from joint venture partner BMW that thought it looked too much like the X1. Brilliance however has not given up on its SUV, it was seen testing again and it seems to look exactly the same as on the earlier official pictures that angered BMW.

The Brilliance A3 SUV is Not Dead yet

The Brilliance A3 SUV was scheduled to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in May but did not appear, reportedly because of pressure from BMW. The Germans thought it looked too much like their own X1 SUV. Brilliance and BMW have a joint venture in China which makes the 3 and 5-series for the Chinese market. Brilliance however seems not to have given up on the A3, a new spy shot shows it testing again. The shape of the car doesn’t appear to have changed a bit. What BMW thinks of this is unclear, they likely don’t even know about it. Well.., here it is.

The best spy shots so far of the new Brilliance A3 compact SUV. The A3 will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show next month and shared platform, engines and interior with the Brilliance A4 sedan. Pics show a fresh and original design although it would likely look even better in a less boring color.
