An ultra hip Audi A1, Spotted in China on a busy street in Beijing. The good Audi is wrapped is two wraps: a shiny Pink one for the lower body and a carbon black one for the upper body, making for a great combination of colors. Only letdown are the standard wheel covers, something shiny or black would have been better.

The Audi A1 China Limited Edition launched on the Chinese auto market, priced from 271.800 yuan to 311.800 yuan. The China Limited Edition (hallo Wouter!) is painted in a red-white-gold color scheme, “representing the colors of joy and good fortune in Chinese culture”, or so says Audi’s press release. Well, funky this machine sure is, if not a little bit mad, which is good.

Audi A1 to be listed in China on October 9

The Audi A1 will be listed on the China car market on October 9. Price will range from 230.000 yuan to 300.000 yuan. The A1 is imported, there are no plans yet for local production. Competition comes from the Mini and new-new Volkswagen Beetle, both are imported as well. Via: Autohome.

New Audi A1 will be made in China

The new Audi A1 debuted on the Shanghai Auto Show. It will be listed on the Chinese market this year as an import to compete with the Mini and Fiat 500, both imported as well. But the A1 will be made in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. No exact time has been set but we heard production could start as early as 2013, just in time for the A1’s first facelift.
