Chevrolet Aveo listed & priced in China

The Chevrolet Aveo hatchback and sedan have been officially listed on the Chinese auto market. The Aveo is made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. Interestingly there is no difference in price between the hatchback and sedan, price starts at 81.800 yuan and ends at 118.000 yuan.
GM celebrated the listing with a big party in Shanghai, guest of honor was the beautiful Rosie Huntington from the upcoming Transformers III movie in which the Aveo/Sonic will transform.

The new Chevrolet Aveo will be listed on the Chinese car market on May 20, the Aveo hatchback and sedan are made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. Price of the hatch starts around 90.000 yuan and ends around 120.000 yuan. Engines: 1.4 with 103hp and a 1.6 with 117hp, mated to a 6-speed tiptronic transmission.

These are the first official pics of the new Chevrolet Aveo sedan, made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. The Aveo sedan will be listed together with the Aveo hatchback on May 20. Price of the hatch starts around 90.000 yuan and ends around 120.000 yuan, expect prices for the sedan to be slightly higher.

The Daewoo-based Chevrolet Aveo has been a great sales success for Shanghai-GM so it is time for a new one to sell even more. GM filed for a patent and some pics got out, that’s the way it works these days.
The Aveo got a new sporty front in Cruze-style, bit like that Mitsubishi Lancer front pasted on the Colt but it just can do. New car will hit la market sometime in the first half of next year. Engines: 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6. The new Aveo will make it to the US as well, in 2012.
