Mini 'Chinese Job' special edition

Mini has launched the ‘Chinese Job’ special edition on the China car market, based on the Mini Cooper S and Mini Cooper S Clubman. More on the cars soon, but first the real important news: Mini organized a party to launch the Chinese Job, and during that party they broke a world record for drifting a Mini into a small parking place between two other Mini’s. Distance between cars was only 15 centimeters. The record has been certified by the Guiness Book of World Records. Wow!

BMW 5-series in Bling

A lazy Saturday afternoon in Beijing, time so for Bling! Here we have a very fine last-gen BMW 5-series in some strange kinda silver with a chrome bonnet and back. It had an M5 badge but that is bluff, this indeed is a rather ordinary China-made Brilliance-BMW 5Li with a body kit. No matter, the bling is good…

The smallest BMW is not only ugly, it is also imported and therefore very expensive, price starts at 242.000 yuan and ends at 375.000 yuan.  Models: 115i, 118i and 325i. BMW has no plans for local production of the 1-series yet. Via: Autohome.

Published on May 11, 2012 by Tycho de Feyter

Fiat Palio BMW X1

Here we have a very fine Fiat Palio hatchback, thinking very hard it is a BMW X1. I saw this fuzzy vehicle here in Beijing today in the Sanlitun area, it had a BMW-badge on the bonnet as well which I couldn’t pic because the Palio-X1 just took off in a hurry.

The Fiat Palio was made in China until 2008 by the now dead Nanjing-Fiat joint venture. The Palio however is not dead, it still lives as the Zotye ZH200B. The Fiat Siena sedan, which was also made by Nanjing-Fiat, lives on as the ZH200, and there is even a Dragon Edition available!
