Beijing Auto BC301Z Launched in China

Production of the Beijing Auto BC301Z, formerly known as C30, started yesterday at a new factory in the city of Zhuzhou in Hunan Province, it will be listed early next yesr. The Benz B-class inspired car will compete in the small hacthback segment and costs between 50.000 and 70.000 yuan.

The Beijing Auto C30 did not debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show as was expected, debut now likely early next year. Production will start in Beijing on December 26. The C30 is powered by Mitsubishi 1.3 and 1.5 engines, price will start around 50.000 yuan and end around 80.000.

The C30, codenames BC301Z, is a new compact mpv from Beijing Auto. its shape is inspired by the Merc B-class. Beijing Auto and Mercedes Benz have a joint venture, called Beijing-Benz, which makes the C and E-class. The C30 will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show starting on December 21. Engines are Mitsubishi-sourced 1.3 and 1.5 4-cilinders, price will start around 50.000 yuan and end around 70.000.

Beijing Auto C30 to be Listed early next year

Beijing Auto C30 listed next year

The Beijing Auto (BeiQi in Chinese) will be listed early next year. The Benz B-class inspired car will get an 1.5 litre engine from Hyundai. Beijing Auto has joint ventures with both Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai, it so picked the ‘best bits’ and put ‘m together into the C30. The pic above migh be the first official, it loox too good for an amateur photoshop and shows Beijing’s (the city) iconic Bird’s Nest olympic stadium on the background.

The defenitive proof that Beijing Auto’s new C30 is inspred by the Mercedes Benz B-class. A completely naked car with the Beijing Auto-logo up front was seen near the factory. It seems almost ready for production. It’ll get a 1.5 litre engine with 78kw, price will start around 75.000 yuan.

Earlier we saw two C30’s running on the road, this time we get a much closer look. After the hatchback Beijing Auto will start to be orginal and make a C30 sedan and an electric version. Mercedes-Benz and Beijing Auto have a joint venture called Beijing-Benz, it makes the C-class and E-class for the Chinese market.

The Beijing Auto C30 is inspired by the Mercedes Benz B-class that will be discontinued soon. Benz didn’t sell as many as expected, Beijing Auto thinks it can do better. Beijing Auto and Mercedes Benz have a joint venture together, Beijing Benz, that makes the Mercedes C and E-class. The C30 however is all for Beijing Auto herself.
