General Motors China will recall 26.579 Buick Enclave SUV’s to replace faulty seat belts. The recall will start on June 30. The vehicles were produced between Aug 15, 2008 and April 10 this year. It is widely expected that more announcements on other recalls will follow soon.
The Buick Enclave is imported into China. Price starts at 389.000 yuan and ends at 649.000 yuan ($62.000 – 104.000). Lone engine is a 288hp 3.6 liter V6. It is the second recall for the big SUV, the first recall was in April 2012 for problems with the windshield.

German car maker Volkswagen is recalling more DSG-equipped cars with a gearbox problem in China supplementing a recall of 384,181 vehicles that started in April, according to China’s quality watchdog.
The latest recall affects 3,863 vehicles imported by VolksWagen Group Import Co Ltd and FAW-VolksWagen Automotive Co Ltd, a General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) statement said Thursday.

Maserati will recall 692 vehicles imported by the Chinese mainland due to defective rear tie-rods, China’s quality supervisor said Friday.
The recall by Ferrari Maserati Cars Sales and Services (Shanghai) Co will cover the Maserati Quattroporte and Maserati Granturismo models manufactured between July 31, 2003 and Sept 25, 2008, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said in a statement.

Korean automakers Hyundai and its subsidiary Kia will recall more than 175,000 cars due to defective brake light switches, China’s consumer quality watchdog said on Monday.

China’s consumer quality watchdog on Saturday urged German car maker Volkswagen to recall defective cars with DSG problems.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement on its website that its research has basically confirmed the Volkswagen’ direct shift gearbox transmission has defects which may cause engine power failures.
