A very sweet Aston Martin DB9 supercar, Spotted in China in the great city of Shanghai by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the pictures! The speedy ‘Ston is wrapped in a brilliant baby blue wrap and sexed up to the max by a grille with the vertical strips blacked out, darkened headlights, 20 inch slick-like tires, matte black multispokes with a shiny chrome rim, and an red interior.

A beautiful black Beijing-Jeep Cherokee 2500, Spotted in China on the streets of the great city of Shanghai by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the pictures! The good Cherokee was wrapped in a very fine matte black wrap, neatly covering the bumpers and mirrors. The giant grille is left in chrome for contrast.

A very red Ferrari 458 Italia, spotted in China in Shanghai by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the picture! The speedy super car has a license plate reading PG888, and that is one of the best license plates we have seen on a Ferrari 458 in China. The 8 is a very lucky number is Chinese culture, closely associated with wealth & fortune. A bit of money is needed indeed, price for the 458 in China starts at 3.88 million yuan or 636.000 USD. But 570hp and 540nm!

A very lucky Rolls-Royce Ghost, seen in the Shanghai suburbs by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the picture! The license plate reads 8888F, 8 is considered a lucky number in Chinese tradition, 8 brings prosperity and cash! Among all China’s lucky numbers, and they got a many, the 8 has the strongest association with wealth. The F stands for Fu (福), meaning ‘luck’. Somehow, these Chinese Rolls-Royce owners are so lucky they always get the lucky plates: F8888, 66666, 66369.

A lightly camouflaged Buick Excelle sedan, seen on the bed of a truck on a highway near Shanghai by reader & master spy Chiprdan, thank you for the picture! What GM is hiding is yet unclear. The Buick Excelle received a facelift in February so another facelift seems unlikely. Earlier spy shots pointed at the possibility of a new engine.

A bet-it-is-fast blue Audi S4, seen on a parking lot in the great city of Shanghai with the bonnet open by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the picture! The license plate reads 555S4 and that is by very far the coolest license plate we have ever seen on an Audi S4 in China.
The Audi S4 is relatively rare in China. It is imported, unlike the base Audi A4L, and thus a bit expensive. Price starts at 383.000 yuan or 62.000 USD. A monumental manic Brabus 60S sedan, seen in the great city of Shanghai by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the pictures! The license plate reads R9999, and that is by far the best plate we have seen on any 60S in China, ’9′ being a lucky number in Chinese culture, associated with long lasting life and the mighty Chinese emperors of the ancient dynasties.

An extremely beautiful and extremely brute fourth generation Nissan Patrol, born in a time when cars were still men! This fine wine red example was seen in the great city of Shanghai by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the pictures!
The great vehicle seems to be in perfect condition. Paint as good as new, chrome is still shiny, and all the typical 1990-Japan stickers are still intact, including the brilliant FUEL INJECTION emblem on the front doors.
Coincidentally, I met a green fourth generation Petrol in Beijing at almost the same time.

The Cadillac ATS will initially be imported into China and local production is expected to start in late 2014 in GM’s new Cadillac plant in Shanghai. The imported ATS will hit the China car market before the end of this year.
