Dongfeng ‘Brave Soldier’ EQ2050 M3D debuts at the Beijing Auto Show

Dongfeng has promised us a civilian version of the famous ‘Dongfeng Hummer‘, nicknamed ‘Brave Soldier’, correctly called ‘EQ2050′. This very yellow EQ2050 M3D is a concept car that debuted at the Beijing Auto Show previews just such a car. The rough warrior, the Chinese army uses zillions of EQ2050′s, has been sexed up for the street with softer lines up front and at the back. Dongfeng working on a Hummer for the People

Last month I posted about how China got the Hummer. Dongfeng pretended to make a civilian version for political reasons but didn’t really do it. See the story here. New drawings however show Dongfeng is thinking about a civilian version anyway. Based on the EQ2050 but with a very different style, more like the Hummer H2 than the Humvee.
