The new Fiat Viaggio sedan debuted last month at the Beijing Auto Show, it will be launched at the Chinese car market in September, price is expected to start around 120.000 yuan. The Viaggio will be made in China by the Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, it is based on the Dodge Dart that is based on Fiat’s C-EVO platform that also underpins the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

Power will come from Fiat’s 1.4 Fire T-jet turbocharged engine with two different tunes: 88kw and 210nm and 110kw and 230nm, mated to a 6-speed ‘DDCT-C635′ dual clutch transmission. Some rumors say Fiat is also considering a less high-tech 1.6 for a cheaper entry-level Viaggio. At this moment however we can’t confirm this, yet. The Viaggio is the first car for the new Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, next up is likely a hatchback version of the Viaggio, then later on a small SUV. Fiat hopes to sell at least 100.000 Viaggio’s in 2013.

The Fiat Palio was made in China until 2008 by the now dead Nanjing-Fiat joint venture. The Palio however is not dead, it still lives as the Zotye ZH200B. The Fiat Siena sedan, which was also made by Nanjing-Fiat, lives on as the ZH200, and there is even a Dragon Edition available!

The new Fiat 500L mini-MPV has been spotted testing in China. The 500L debuted in Geneva in March and was also displayed at the Beijing Auto Show last week. Fiat will import the 500L into China starting late this year to compete with the very popular Mini Countryman.

The 500L will be powered by the 1.4 TwinAir engine in two configurations: 100hp and 85hp. Fiat is pushing the 500-series very hard in China, the 500 Gucci was launched late last month, the 500C was launched early last month and the base 500 was launched in September last year. Price for the 500L will start around a ridiculous 250.000 yuan.

If they rich, that is. Price (hold thy breath…) is 268.800 yuan. A lotta money for a sexified Fiat Panda, but sure very special with all kinda Gucci-stickers, and the ’500 by Gucci’ is limited to only 200 cars. No matter that ridiculous price, Fiat will sell ‘m all, and fast. Power, for the girl-buyers it won’t matter but we men need to know!, comes from a 1.4 MultiAir engine that babes out 100hp, and that ain’t bad for such a small car.

New spy pics from the Fiat 500C testing in China. The standard Fiat 500 fashion accessory was listed on the Chinese car market late last year. It doesn’t seem to be doing very well, I haven’t seen a single one so far. Maybe the fact that Fiat has less than a 100 dealers in China got something to do with that. Or the price maybe, which ranges from 170.000 yuan up until 230.000 yuan. Ridiculous. You can but a locally made Honda CR-V for that, top spec!

Fiat though doesn’t give up and will bring this Fiat 500C to the Chinese market, a convertible with an electric soft top. Convertibles are chronically unpopular in China, mostly thanks to the air pollution, noise and endless traffic jams. Many automakers don’t even bother to bring any convertible to China. Fiat bravely does, we say good luck.

The Fiat C-Medium is a new mid-size sedan for the Chinese car market that will be built on Fiat’s C-EVO platform that also underpins the Dodge Dart and Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Above rendering seems based on a Dodge Dart picture but indeed this is what the C-Medium will likely look like. The Fiat C-Medium will be made in China by the Guangzhou Fiat joint venture and will debut in the third quarter of this year.

Size of the C-Medium: 4650/1790/1500mm, with a wheelbase of 2703mm (wheelbase 10 cm longer than Giulietta). Power will come from Fiat’s 1.4 ‘Fire T-jet’ turbocharged engine with two different tunes: 88kw and 210nm and 110kw and 230nm, mated to a 6-speed ‘DDCT-C635′ dual clutch transmission. The engine will be made in China as well.
