Patent pictures of the upcoming Foton U201 SUV finally reveal how the vehicle will look like when it hits the Chinese car market later this year. An impressive front, high roof line, big wheel arches, and even some hipness around the rear window. The U201 is based on the Foton Tunland pickup truck but will be positioned higher upmarket, priced from 130.000 to 170.000 yuan.

New spy shots from the upcoming big Foton SUV. The vehicle was caught on a freezing night in Beijing and loox like it feels cold! Very well possible without a proper front, it was -15 Celsius last night… The SUV is code named U201 and will be launched on the Chinese auto market next year.

Chinese automaker Foton Motor group has opened an assembly plant in Nairobi in a bid to explore the market in Kenya and East Africa.
The plant, which cost $50 million, was officially opened Monday by Prime Minister Raila Odinga and a visiting Chinese delegation led by Liu Qi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
