JAC Eagle S5 SUV debuts at the Guangzhou Auto Show

This is the production version of the new JAC Eagle S5, a fine looking Hyundai-inspired medium sized SUV that will be launched on the Chinese car market early next year. The JAC Eagle S5, formerly known as the JAC SII, is the successor of the JAC Rein which is based on the first-gen Hyundai Santa Fe, the Rein however might continue for a few years more as a budget model.

The first spy shots of the final production version of the new JAC Eagle S5 SUV, it will debut on Friday at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The Eagle S5 is the first all-new JAC in many years, and basically the first ‘self-designed’ SUV ever. The Eagle S5 is the successor of the JAC Rein which is based on the first-gen Hyundai Santa Fe, the Rein however might continue for a few years more as a budget model.

New spy shots show the JAC Eagle S5 (formerly known as the JAC SII and B-SUV) is ready for the Chinese auto market, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in December and it will be launched just before the end of this year. The Eagle S5 is the successor of the good old JAC Rein which is based on the first-gen Hyundai Santa Fe. Some sources however say the Rein will continue as a budget model.

Spy Shots: JAC SII SUV testing in China

The very first spy shots of the JAC SII SUV testing in China. The SII debuted as ‘Eagle II’ on the Beijing Auto Show in April, it’ll likely stick to that name when it hits the Chinese auto market early next year. Power will come from a 2.0 turbo with 161hp and 235nm. JAC is also working on a new 1.5/1.5 turbo but thoee engines won’t be available at launch.

New pictures from the JAC II SUV, it will debut on Monday at the Beijing Auto Show and JAC has done a very poor job hiding it, which wasn’t easy anyway for a car this orange. The JAC SII will be listed on the China car market soon after the show, price is expected to start at 100.000 yuan.

New pictures from the upcoming JAC SII SUV, aka JAC B-SUV, that will debut at the Beijing Auto Show later this month, it will be listed on the China car market soon after the Beijing show. The JAC SII loox very much like the outgoing Hyundai ix35 and that isn’t a coincidence because JAC makes many cars that are, legally, based on old Hyundai’s.
