A BMW X1 SUV and a Brilliance V5 SUV, parked back to back in an underground parking lot in the great city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, where they were spotted by reader Josh F., thank you for the pic! Well, easy it ain’t, but the brown car is the BMW. The white Brilliance V5 is the copy.
The Germans were very unhappy when the V5 launched in late 2011, especially because they normally work happily together with Brilliance in the Brilliance-BMW joint venture. Brilliance-BMW makes the 5Li, the 3Li, and… the X1. Price for the Brilliance V5 starts at 110.000 yuan, price for the BMW X1 at 280.000 yuan.

An Audi R8 with engine problems, seen by a friend of reader Josh F. in the great city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, thank you for the picture! The wrap is great work, extending neatly over the Volkswagen logo, the bumpers, mirrors and door handles. Alloys are standard but in this case that doesn’t look too bad. Other memorable Beetle’s we met in China: Minnie Mouse, pink, and the truly mad Lucky Star. Now, let it snow!
