It has been a while since we hear from Horki, but here they are with their ‘new’ 300E, a compact electric sedan that will hit the Chinese car market in Q4. Horki is a sub-brand under the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture. We saw the first spy shots in 2012, the brand officially debuted in April 2013, and we saw new spy shots in May 2014, and then it got very silent.

Horki is a new sub-brand of the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture, aimed at making cheap cars for the masses. Horki’s first car is this sleek black-gray concept called the Horki-1. The Chinese name of the Horki brand is ‘Hua Chi’.

The Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture is working on the launch of a new ‘Hua Qi’ sub-brand, the first vehicle will be based on the old Kia Cerato. At the same time work continues on yet another sub-brand, ‘Dianyue‘, which will make electric cars. The first Dianyue is also based on the old Cerato.
